The images I captured in world travels as a Navy photographer combined with a Stained Glass apprenticeship inspire my panels, bowls, Torchie lamps and hair jewelry made with kiln fired stained glass which I handcraft in both old world and new techniques I've developed. The pieces often start from clear recycled glass and hand apply finely ground colorful glass pigment and enamel which are slowly kiln fired and gradually cooled to make my feature stained glass.
Glass has its own ideas, but I use it for its beauty to create images with the colorful glass and then fire it gently in the kiln where it runs together like honey. It's reborn when the kiln is opened, revealing irregular textures and unfading glass which can be built into even more beautiful objects of desire. The finished pieces capture light and the shades of color transition with changing sunlight.

Comments on the Military and Business Ownership
I was a photographers mate first class. One of the first 30 females permanently deployed at sea. I was in charge of the photo on board the USS Puget Sound during the Beirut peacekeeping force and earned the navy expeditionary medal. I served for eight years flew aircrew and also went to Rochester Institute of Technology for quality control. I currently serve at American legion post 24 in Georgetown for military honors and on the executive committee.
